Help with install on Suburban carpet
I have a full set of gray carpet for my burb. I put down the back section because it's pretty easy with no padding at all. What kind of glue or adhesive are you guys using for the passenger section and the wheel wells?
Thanks

Re: Help with install on Suburban carpet
I didn't use any adhesives when I put my carpet in.
The seats hold the front area in place, and the chrome strips in the rear area hold that section of carpet in place. The wheel well and fuel filler bump, those pieces are held in by the side panels. Regarding the rear area, I added jute padding. The front areas, I installed Dynamat along with jute padding.

Re: Help with install on Suburban carpet
Yea, I have dynamat or insulation down all over the floor throughout. I don't have the carpet hold down strip where it steps up to the back of the floor.

Re: Help with install on Suburban carpet
The hold down strip for the rear area behind the 2nd row is very similar to a residential transition strip from carpet to vinyl .

X2 Pretty sure you could get this strip from a flooring place.

Re: Help with install on Suburban carpet
The PO of my blue 70 used spray adhesive to put the wheel well carpet right over the rust holes.
Spray or even brush on contact cement would work well I would think. Paul
