Little help please
Picked up some aftermarket grille molding clips, and they are whooping my butt, does anyone have pics of them installed on the trim, or something showing how they are mounted.. Thanks

don't have pics but mine had like spring loaded clips with threaded like bolts that fit thru the oles in the grill then you put the nuts on

I don't have any pictures but I had to re-bend the clips to make them work. If you have any of the original clips try to bend the new ones so they match the old ones.... LockDoc

These molding grill clips are a real pain. Surprised someone hasn't came up with something a bit more user friendly to install over the years. Like you, I had sore fingers fighting these clips in place. Plus a few flew apart also from making them perform as I wanted. Wasn't a walk in the park and took me an afternoon of marking the trim to the correct spot was the biggest help (used small pieces of masking tape) and plenty of breaks in between. But stick with it, get all of the clips in the right spot in the molding first with the proper alignment. Try to get them as level in the molding as possible, once you bolt them up and you see a gap or something you will be disappointed and need to start over again.

Looking at the back of the molding the clips are installed with the spring side of the clip on the left , Fit the head of the "bolt" into the molding and using your right thumb push the "spring" end of the clip up and into the molding .
they are designed this way to fit into the molding easily so as when you are tightening the nuts the oblong head binds in the molding and doesn't turn also the spring keeps the "bolt" from moving around while installing the molding . As said before you can use thin pieces of masking tape to mark the correct position then install the clips and it should line right up less than 30 minutes to install both moldings .
