Finally saying hello

Been on the board for a couple years now, but finally saying hello and introducing myself. Name is Anthony and I live in central, ca. Been working on rods and customs in my spare time for as long as I can remember. Acquired my grandfathers 71 chevy c10 a couple years back. My grandpa bought the 71 new off the lot, then put dual exhuast, a grant wheel and a snap bed cover on it . Used it to haul his race hill climb bikes around. I remember riding in the bed of this truck (when it was still legal) all the way to the sequias to go fishing. Truck is a 71 custom deluxe in med blue SWB, 350 with a 3 speed saginaw. So far I lowered it using 2.5 drop spindles with half a coil cut out up front, with the back using a 2 inch drop block and jeep coils. Also installed a bolt c-notch and drop shocks. Rides decent enough. Still might put in some airbags. But anyways, hey to you all! And look forward to adding to this great board!

Re: Finally saying hello

Lowered the rear 4". Haven't had any problems with them. Hooks up well. But I also have a ece super track bar and lowered shocks in rear also. I'm sure that helps a lot. Although they are kind of soft. But for free....pssst..it works for me. Lol

Re: Finally saying hello

Although when I want to light them up I can. I think the actual lowred springs are the way to go. Heavier load rating and such. But don't let all the naw Sayers turn you off to the jeeps springs. If you can get them for next to nothing it won't hurt to try them out.
