Bought my grandpa's 72 C10
I finally was able to get my grandpas 72 C10 this week. I remember as a kid always wanting to look at it and sit in it. My grandfather died some 20 years ago, and my grandmother wouldn't sell anything, ever. She passed away last year, and her children have been going through the estate. I was able to buy the truck for $650. It is factory air with everything still there, and power brakes/steering. Here are a few teaser pics:
Its going to need fenders patched, rockers, cab corners as usual. I am going to have to patch the roof where he had a cb antenna screwed on the top of the cab. The truck has been sitting at least 10 yrs. I've already removed and cleaned/rebuilt the carb yesterday. I'm going to try to let something sit in the tank and blow out the fuel lines.

Re: Bought my grandpa's 72 C10
. . . .
Does it still have anything left of that blue plaid seat material ? I'd like to see a picture if it does. How many miles are showing on the odometer ? |

Re: Bought my grandpa's 72 C10
Odometer shows 43,xxx, I'd have to see the title to see what it says. I will pull the seat cover that's on it and see what the seat looks like tomorrow, door panels and what edges of seat I see are white.

Re: Bought my grandpa's 72 C10
I never had seen the truck without a seat cover on , so this was my first time seeing the original seat upholstery. Of course, the drivers side has butt-itis, but the passenger side was beautiful.

Re: Bought my grandpa's 72 C10
Congrats on a rare truck from everything I've read the z62 denotes a highlander equipped option and matches the 611 plaid trim meaning seat cover. Do a search on highlander it will explain everything.
