Geeze! I read several times that you said its almost impossible to find anything good down in that area what with the coal business and everything but that's bad! Your sons's truck was a great find!

if that was in pa.
the sculptures would've already snatched up on it and filled it up with spray foam and aluminum flashing then bondo'ing over it and sprayed with dollar store primer claiming it was a
"professionally restored bed ready for paint".
it would be back on cl tommarow for 3 times the $.

Re: This is why you can't find any 67-72 trucks in Virginia

My 77 crew cab came from Virginia. Near as I can tell it was used to pull a 5th wheel and not much else. Tailgate had some issues, the drivers side bedside had a little bit, but the passenger side was horrible. Both rockers and the front floors were rough too.

I have a truck bed trailer just like that for hauling wood behind a tractor. The bed rotted off and I replaced it with one off a 89 Ford.

Re: This is why you can't find any 67-72 trucks in Virginia

Speaking of Virginia, a guy I work with ended up with this '02 GMC Sierra Z71 that came from Virginia and it is very rusty. The gas tank was being held in by a couple of ratchet straps. This thing blew my mind! Living here in the south, I have never seen a 12 year old vehicle with any rust whatsoever, let alone totally rusted out. This thing really made me appreciate never having to drive my cars on salt. The guy that had this truck paid $1000 for it hoping to make some money on it, and he couldn't hardly give it away down here. It ran and drove fine and had a nice interior.

Of the 20+ 67-72 Chevy trucks I've owned over the years, I've never had one this rusty...
