71-72 SWB Stepside bed - 5 lug rearend - camper
I recently acquired this and I planned on taking it apart and selling everything separately, but I thought someone could possibly want it as is. The bed is pretty nice and solid. There's some small dings and some surface rust, but it there are no holes that I see. I will get some better pics of it when I go pick it up (it is at a friend's house - who I bought it from). It has a 5 lug rearend under, and the tires hold air. I know nothing about the rearend except that it rolls. The camper itself is definitely unique. I've never seen one quite like it. It is in pretty good shape for its age.
I'm going to list all together, but if no one wants it together, I will separate. Buying it together keeps me from having to pull it apart and helps you drag it home! $300 OBO

Far east, central part of the State. I am right on the AL - GA line, 80 miles SW of Atlanta.

Re: 71 - 72 SWB Stepside bed trailer/axle/camper
Thanks, I have a friend in the Huntsville area and hoping you was closer to him. Sounds like you are still another 3 1/2 to 4 hours from him. Looks like a great deal but I am going to have to pass because of the distance. Thanks again

Yes, I am 15 miles NW of Auburn in Valley. To be honest, didn't even look under it when I traded for it. I will try my best to find out this evening about the diff.

Re: 71 - 72 SWB Stepside bed trailer/axle/camper
I went and took a better look at the bed yesterday. There is some damage to the top rails on both sides. The rail is fine except for the first couple of inches on the front. I totally missed it the first time I looked at it because its is kinda hidden by the camper. I was focused on looking at the normal rust areas, that I didn't pay attention to it.
The bed has mostly original paint except a few spots where somebody did some touching up. The fenders are excellent, and besides a small dent, both steps are in great shape. There is no rust through anywhere. It has a 5 lug Dana rearend with leaf springs. $500 OBO

Re: 71 - 72 SWB Stepside bed trailer/axle/camper
I have confirmed that the rearend has 5 on 5.5 lug axles, so its not a GMC rearend. The bed has the original wood in the floor covered by a piece of plywood, for those that asked.
Price lowered to $300. The fenders and steps are worth that, if nothing else.
