Interchangeable parts.

Hello everyone. I have a quick question. I own a 72 chevy k\10 and i have been trying to restore it and add a little of my self into the rebuild but i was wondering if anyone knew which years and parts i could use for my pickup without to many modifications to make them work. Thanks everyone.

Re: Interchangeable parts.

There is no such guide, some of us can tell you for instance 73 Front disc and rotors work on earlier models but there is no printed guide as to what works on what and what years, even at the dealer level.

Re: Interchangeable parts.

My fault i should have been a little more specific. I am looking to replace the steering column and and some other front end parts off a later model chevy pickup.

The columns are pretty much just '67-'72 as far as a bolt in. I'm sure there are some threads on here about using a later column but I don't remember reading them myself.

Re: Interchangeable parts.

I know later model front sway bars & steering boxes can be used....do a search on the site for specifics.
