Re: Jegs is at it again
I bought one on Saturday, going to use it to replace the tired 307 in my 67 SWB. I missed out the last time they had them discounted.

Re: Jegs is at it again
Seems like several guys here have purchased this engine.
When they ship this do you have to have a dock, or do they deliver using lift gate?

They can do it either way. If I remember correctly you can specify which you need. I have the skid loader so I said it didn't make any difference. LockDoc

You do have to be home though, they will not deliver without a signature. Mine was brought right into the garage for me.

Mine came on a tractor trailer rig. There again I think it depends on what you specify when you order so pay attention to that part... LockDoc

Re: Jegs is at it again
haha ... very true! Was joking because I have seen a lot of sbc in GTO like mine. My blood runs pontiac blue instead of chevy orange. No denying the sbc was/is one damn good platform.

Re: Jegs is at it again
Big difference between Jegs and Summit on shipping bigger items, Jegs will work with you and Summit doesn't care. When I bought my crate motor both companies had the same engine at the same price. Summit had several in stock and Jegs was waiting on a shipment. Jegs would deliver to my door with a lift gate for no extra cost, Summit said I had to go to a shipping depot with a pickup to get the engine. Not even an option with Summit.
So I waited for Jegs, and now I give them the majority of my business.

Re: Jegs is at it again
The sbc engine is getting to the point that a lot of guys don't want them anymore and as demand goes down I'd say the prices will follow. Best engine ever made IMHO though.

Re: Jegs is at it again
I belive they are like autozone where they don't own or pay for any stock until its sold. Might be letting them loose just to make space and not need to send them back.

Re: Jegs is at it again
I want tog et one of these so bad, but I just dropped a grand on suspension, I have a line on some 15x8 6 lugs and I'm looking at a core support and a fender hopefully soon, so I need to wait. when I get the *" rims I need to get a set of 4 or 5 to powdercoat so I will have a set to fit the disks up front...

Re: Jegs is at it again
Is it compatible with a 69 c10 SWB? I just selected my info on the compatibility portion that they have on the eBay site and it said it wasn't compatible? Just wondering if anyone has installed this engine on their C10?
