New member - need wheel bs and tire size -- please
Hey everyone - glad to be a part of the forum. I have read several great threads already and I am excited that I finally bought a burban. I will post some more pics of the inside later. It's a 72 GMC, it had a really nice resto done about 7 or 8 years ago, 2 tone tweed and vinly, custom built door panel and headliner, caddi tailight, full rear airbag tow assist system, and so on. I plan on lowering it about 2 more inches fron and rear, new wheels, and eventually paint it.
I need some backspacing and tire sizes. I plan on putting on American Racing Daytona chrome wheels -- 22x9.5 on rear ....20x8.5 on the front. what backspacing and tire size is good to use. I would like to do a larger tire ---- maybe 285 295/30 on rear and maybe 245 30 on front. What are ya'll running and/or recommend Thanks in advance |

Welcome to the forum!
I don't know much about the wheel question, but the wheel base on the Suburbans is 127. Someone will chime in sooner or later to address your wheel questions.

There is a lot of stuff on the net about how to measure back space and off set. Check you tube. very good. Not sure if a 11'' rim would work, I have a 9 1/2 on the front and back and its pretty tight. You really need to measure what you have before you put cash down on rims that dont fit. Welcome to the forum.
