Exhaust manifold

Hey guys,

I have a straight six (250) and the exhaust manifold appears to be warped. The PO had some kind of gasket sealer around the manifold that looked like a bad caulk job and I knew this when I bought it. The truck has never run quite right, so I am finally having a trusted independent mechanic try and straighten a few things out, primarily that and any carb issues. I don't burn any oil at all to speak of, the plugs all look great, the points are clean, etc. I am having on heck of a time finding a replacement manifold and so is my mechanic.

I just got done searching everywhere, thought I had a picture of the manifold side but I don't, only the other side. Does anyone have any idea's of where to find a replacement manifold? I found an aftermarket (probably Asian) on ebay for $110.00 and went ahead and ordered it out of desparation, not at all confident that it will fit. I have tried the majority of vendors on this site and unfortunately, here in Mayberry USA, junk yards are not an option. Thanks!

Re: Exhaust manifold

Why not just take it into a machine shop and have it milled flat? Ive had to do that before with a small block manifold.. worked fine.

Re: Exhaust manifold

Take some pics of your motor for us!
And a link to your ebay manifold.
Sounds like a non problem. Those intakes don't warp.
