Tail light bezel / trim advice needed
I bent the first bezel I tried using reproduction clips, so I ordered the GM part # 3917954 off of ebay and a replacement bezel. These clips worked much better, but I had to trim the tab on the bezel to make them fit. I still don't know if I did it right, but it seems to be holding. My question is: Would you add the rest of the tailgate trim and if I do that would you add the rest of the body trim down the side? I think it looks OK as is, but if I don't add the tailgate trim am I going to constantly have people ask why doesn't it have trim there? I don't think I've ever seen another truck with tail-light bezels, but no trim elsewhere.

FL, I only attached the tail light trim and none of the other trim. I guess it depends on what look your going for. I dont like trim and chrome all over the place. I take most of it off and paint or powder coat what i keep.

Re: Tail light bezel / trim advice needed
I think it looks good as is, but if it were mine, I'd add the tailgate trim. My truck had (will have when its done) the trim around the taillights and the upper tailgate trim (goes just above the handle) and also the woodgrain Chevrolet band on the tailgate. That was the only trim on the truck. Wasn't originally that way obviously, but I liked it this way.

I like it! I too have been struggling with this same question. I have a shaved truck and don't want any trim along the sides, but have often debated about the tailgate trim. Some pics of tailgate trim only would be helpful!

Re: Tail light bezel / trim advice needed
I would add the tail gate trim.... Do you have any trim on the side of the truck?

Looks OK.... I think it needs the trim. If you have it take some double sided tape, stick it on and see if you like it.

Good idea to tape it on to see how it looks. Thanks.
