pulled a trailer for the first time!!
"Well the old girl pulled like a dream" is what I wish I could say lol. In actually it swayed a little to much when braking and it needed a little more power to get up some hills but all in all I would consider it a success! The brake controller worked great, the air bags kept the frame from hitting the rear end and I barely had to jack up the tongue to unload the race car (thanks to my 6inch rise hitch) ive been dreaming about towing my car with my old truck since I was 14 and it finally became a reality, just thought id share it with you guys

Re: pulled a trailer for the first time!!
boy that looks sharp! You can post that in the "working trucks" section, Be careful thow, any emergency stops can be very bad...They must have been some pretty steep hills if the 355 c.i. had trouble up hills..atleast you have trailer braking, looks like fun....P.S. looks like the trailer tounge is a little too high in the photo.. fast stops might lift the back of the truck up..maybe drop the hitch 3-4 inches....

Re: pulled a trailer for the first time!!
Sweet combo! I have been upgrading my 'Burb for towing since I purchased a 26' TT 2 years ago. I have enough power and it breaks well, just trying to eliminate sway and pourposing now. I'd like to add a rear sway bar and helper bags this year if the budget allows.

Re: pulled a trailer for the first time!!
Thats awesome!! When i was 16 I had a 69 lwb with a 250 and granny 4 speed and I pulled my el camino to the track every weekend. It pulled better then it stopped (4 wheel drums) but of course I live in flatasskansas and I would just hold it to the floor the whole 30 mile trip to the track. I wouldn't mind using my 70 to pull it to the yearly nostalgic drags.
