Sound deadener
Just a follow up to my earlier post regarding the QuietWalk and install of the carpet in my 71....
I went to Lowes today and they have it in a roll which is 3 feet wide by 33.3 feet long...$40.

Miket,
What the heck is 'Quietwalk'?? How is it installed, glued down, self stick?? Does it go under the heat shield material against the metal or between it and the carpet?? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you. 72longbed |

72 longbed:
It's sound deadening material for under hardwood flooring....I posted a day or so ago regarding my carpet install and I had a roll of this laying around....someone asked about it....and so I posted the length and price. I used it between the jute padding and the metal floor as wells as between the gas tank and carpet cover. It really worked well and it was cheap. There is no adhesion properties to it...it's about a 1/4-1/2" thick... There is a brief description here: http://www.bankhardtflooring.com/quietwalk.htm
