Copperhead

Just a heads up Copperhead was on today. They dropped the cab and assembled the bed. It is going to be sweet. !!!!!

Yeah I caught that today also.

It kinda sucks having to file out the bolt holes on all those brand new bed pieces.

It will replay tomrrow. I think.

I saw it today also. I thought the hidden mounting for the bed was kicka$$. I hadn't heard of that. I also liked the LEDs he put in the stock lights. Really good upgrade. He makes everything look so easy though.

I vote for the tailight filler, I saw it on someone's truck posted on here about a week ago, and it looks sweet! Too bad I can't do that 'cause mine's a stepside!

IMO I think it should be lower. Maybe have different rims and tires and be parked in my garage.

The truck is looking pretty good. What is nice is he didnt use those bedsides he hacked a hole into to run the short exhaust through. Glad he changed his mind.

I think we should get everyone to go to Stacy's web page and ask them to produce a full video on the detailed build of Copperhead. Trucks TV is not offering it and even if they did, you would have to buy 20 episodes.
We need to request that they make a "Project Copperhead" uncut video with all the additional footage that got cut to make it fit on the show. Tell them to include the problems that they ran into. I dont know about you but I want to know what DIDN'T FIT and what they did to make it "bolt on" in 3 minutes when filming .. Also ask to include the vendors where they got all the parts ... When rolling the credits ... I already sent my request .. if we all ask .. it may just happen ... I will attach a link to the request page ...
Should we make this a new post??

I sent in my request! Let's just hope that he decides to put out a tape (a DVD would be even better)!

We did a rough estimate and our guess for this project is $40,000. It all depends on what you can do and how much stuff TRUCKS gets given to them from the manufacturers.

Well if you ballpark what is going to be spent and having everyone else do all the work it could be scarey. What's that 572 worth? There is a lot of money in dress up on that motor. Maybe $12 to $13.5 K The body and paint ??? remember they bought lots of body panels etc. Maybe $12 K with the frame painted. You know what I think my first guess of $40 K was to low. Maybe I'll change it to $50K just because I like what they did to the valve covers. <grin>

My guess would be at about $90k. for labor, parts and extras. Hell, I've got close to $35k into my 94 Chevy and its my driven daily "work truck".
