Hydroboost Question

Doing a hydroboost swap into my '71, and noticed that it would not take much to bolt it straight on to the bracket for the old vacuum system, shown in the pictures. I would have to move the bolt holes a little bit, and shorten up the rod. I have noticed most guys bolting them straight onto the firewall using captainfab's sweet brackets. Can I just bolt it to the bracket that's already there? Seems like it would be easier.

Re: Hydroboost Question

There is a guy here that sells a hydroboost fire wall mount bracket. I can't remember user name but can probably find it in a search

Re: Hydroboost Question

Captain fab? I'm aware of his brackets, just was wondering if it was okay if I mounted it on the old bracket. Thanks for the reply!

Re: Hydroboost Question

I just bolted mine right to the firewall. I had to cut a hole to fit it in and shorten the brake rod but no bracket and it fits nice and close.
