Anyone have any idea what these are for?
I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the chassis on my 71 2wd. Its been a long time since I took it apart and a lot of things have escaped my memory. Does anyone have any idea the function of the triangle shaped brackets in the photo below? (not my picture, stolen from google). I can't understand what purpose the serve. Im assuming for some sort of structural rigidity?

well,
I cant look at any photo bucket images at work, but there are two triangle sheet metal braces for the corners of the core support to the fenders, if that helps...... Ben |

I have no idea except they are stiffners for that part of the frame.
What I do know is those shocks ant going to do a bit of good laying down like that.

Lol its a new style bungee cord 4 link. I was kinda assuming it was some sort of stiffener, the reason I ask is I am missing one of mine. I guess I need to do some more looking around or hit up the junk yard.
