Bodywork done, ready for paint
Hi all,

Should be ready to come home either tomorrow, or early next week sometime. Here is how she looked when I dropped off the paint. Once I get her back, Ill get some more proper photos and post em up. Re: Bodywork done, ready for paint
Are those 68 chevy or 68-72 gmc front fenders? If they are you could convert to a gmc grill without doing any more painting.

Also, the passenger door had the 3 holes above the handle for the badge that goes there on one model, but not the drivers door. So.......it possibly could be? Are the GMC fenders angled inward from the top to bottom? If so, then they probably are, as the front grille doesnt sit fully flush with the bottom of the fenders. Ryan |

Re: Bodywork done, ready for paint
The link has info on what year make fenders will fit, they can all be used on any 67-72 gm truck depending on grill/core/support/hood.
The top/primer fender is a 67 chevy (no marker) but the leading edge is the same as a 68 chevy or 67-72 gmc fender. The black fender is a 69-72 chevy fender the leading edge is recessed for the grill to fit. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=23 If you can't see what I'm talking about I can hit the black fender with some primer and take another pic.

Re: Bodywork done, ready for paint
Hmmm, im still not really sure. Once I get the truck back on Monday, I will have a closer look.
Whats best to have? What are the benefits of each? Why would it matter? Are some poeple really after certain ones over the other? Ryan |

Re: Bodywork done, ready for paint
Thanks mate, it is 'Grabber Blue' from mustangs. I believe its been the same since its been available, but I got them to use the reference off of the new '13-'14 mustangs.
Was uber cheap due to the lack of metallics. Its the lowest price stage. Ryan |

Re: Bodywork done, ready for paint
nice blue - looks very close to 60-66 chev truck light blue, but with a little more zip to it.

Re: Bodywork done, ready for paint
What's more desireable. Most people like the 67-68, but they all have fans, id say its just best to have stuff that matches and fits.
