CPP's Trailing Arm Kit
Anybody running this setup on their Squarebody? or heard any reviews, thinking of going this route versus a 4link setup

Re: CPP's Trailing Arm Kit
$1,199 for CPP's kit w/no ability for adjustments or $1,650 for Porterbuilts kit w/ability to make adjustments & better articulation.
Both kits get the job done & will ride better than OE leaf set-ups.

Re: CPP's Trailing Arm Kit
Order the Porterbuilt kit about 3 months before you actually want/need it though.
Both kits can use a set of factory trailing arms if you want to save a little cash. I'm planning to use factory arms an a 71 axle if I ever get my parts....

Re: CPP's Trailing Arm Kit
Scoti, you say that the Porterbuilt kit has more adjustability. I have looked at both kits and it doesnt look like PBs kit is anymore adjustable. Am I missing something?

Quote:
PB's arms can be adjusted in length & pinion angle. They also have 1" of drop built into the arm & have much less bind (none, within limits) during articulation. The CPP kit has single fixed position front mounts (no adjustment for pinion). The CPP kit has single fixed poly bushed ends (no adjustment for length). Their tubing construction w/the fixed position poly bushed ends will also have inherent bind since they are rigid mounted to the rear end. PB's T/A's utilize adjustable spherical joints that allow 30° of non binding articulation & are adjustable for length (OE truck arms used the I-beam construction & rubber bushings up front to limit binding). They also have a multi position front mount for adjusting pinion.
