old wheels

gents, i am trying to remove the tires from the old 16in split rim wheels that came on my 66 c20 so i can scrap them. i can't get the split ring to drop far enough to show me the slot to put the tool in that came with the truck so i can pry it over. the valve core is out. the tire is loose. not sure what i am doing wrong or something i should be doing that i am not. any help would be great! thanks, lowell

Re: old wheels

I cut my old tires off with a sawzall, drill a hole first and then cut.
