Big Block Oil Pan Removal?

In the middle of replacing the timing chain on my mid 70's 3/4 ton Chevy Custom Deluxe C20 454 I came to realize the 4 hour project is going to be more like 2 full days! Why, well I've got to pull the oil pan to get the front timing chain cover to oil pan seal out and to do that I've got to jack up the freaking engine to get the oil pan off! I've replaced oil pan gaskets before on other vehicle without lifting the engine but this 3/4 ton C20 is going to fight me all the way! I'm just glad it's not 118 degrees yet here in Phoenix, lol!
