Newer Tires Scrape Wheel Well
When I got my truck the rear tires were OK, but the fronts were worn down and rounded. So I got some "new to me" tires of the same model as on the rear, "Remington Wide Brute."
With the taller tread and the sharp edges at the outside of the tread, the tires scrape at the rear of the well where the trim strip attaches. Now I know why the old tires were rounded !!! Does anybody "cut down" that sharp edge? If so, how? Thanks.

short answer.
NO get different rims,smaller tires, lift your truck, or trim your wheel wells.

I just tapped in my inner lip just a little. That allowed enough room to clear when turning. You do have to be careful when turning and going into a driveway, etc (when suspension is moving). You can still rub, but with some awareness when driving, you'll be OK. If you plan to off road any substantial amount, you'll need some more ground clearance or it's going to get annoying!
I did it to my K5 and also my 04' Yukon XL 2500...same inner fender, front wheelwell.

Use an air tool to cut the inner well lip. Better yet, upgrade to polygraphite bushings. I had rubbing on hard cornering or body dipping. After installing polygraphite bushings, no rubbing!! Now, the tires actually give to squealing on hard turns rather than rubbing!!
