Finally got around to taking my truck to the shop to get my CPP C-Notch installed. Decided to have it welded in vice going with bolts. The welds looks awesome, and plugged holes as well. Can't wait to get it back in a few days.

What lowering kit did you use? Hows the ride compared to stock. Good looking truck!

I used the ECE 4/6 kit, and I added 1" lowering blocks to the rear to eliminate the rake. It definitely needed the c-notch cause I would hit more often than not. I honestly think your always going to have a better ride at stock height. I previously had it lowered 2/4 and that ride was very nice as well, but I needed to go lower for personal preference. So now my c-notch is being completed and my next task is to get my exhaust rerouted cause that to is close to the axle and hits every now and then.

Do you have any pics of your exhaust routing? Did you have to gut the pipes shorter or have them re-routed at the time you did your 4/6 drop? Looks great btw!!

Do you have pictures of the truck with the 2/4 drop? I'm considering lowering mine but I do not want to compromise the ride quality. I've not had an opportunity to ride in one that has been lowered. Thanks for sharing your pictures and experience.

I lowered my 67 3/5 and removed the factory bump stops cause they hit and replaced them with energy suspension short urethane bump stops and mine rides GREAT ! And I live in the most goofed up town in the united states of america as far as permanent never ending road construction its ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS ! They started building a few miles of 4 lane here in 1974 and THEY ARE STILL FRIKKIN WORKING ON IT ! The moral of this story is my truck rides good LOL

don't forget, tires have alot to do with ride quality. 15's, 17's, 20's will all give a different feel

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I'm thinking drop spindles on front and 4" drop springs in the rear. I like the looks of 19673ontree and C10Dream'n with the 2/4 best. Will I have to relocate the rear upper shock mounts for the best ride? Just my opinion but it looks like 2/4 drop gives you some gap between the top of the tire and wheel well, and 4/6 puts the top of your tire inside the wheel well.

Yeap, totally agree. I've got 8" rally's with 275x60x15 and they ride different than the Boss 338's with 275x45x20. The 20" ride better at stock height IMO and it gives me back some RPM's at highway speeds.

Yep I did the shock relocation brackets , I guess I bought everything cpp had for mine I put sway bars which makes it stiff but handles great !

I just picked up a CPP front sway bar yesterday. It hooks to the a arms, does yours? If you think about and have a minute can you snap a few pictures of your front sway bar?

I found with the cpp front sway bar it had two sets of brackets for the frame if you use the short ones the pitman arm rubs the bar I suspect without power steering it might not ? So I used the two tall brackets and it worked perfect ,,, I will snap a pic ,,

19673ontree are you running the tubular A arms as well? Mine are stock and I'm not sure how to install the sway bar to a stock A arm. Advice anyone?

I will try and get some pics of my exhaust. The plan is to reroute my exhaust through the crossmember to allow for more clearance, as well as having the exhaust dump out behind my rear wheels vice straight through the back under the rear bumper. With the current set up, my exhaust is about 3/4 of an inch from the pumpkin and rattles once in a while.

I wich I could help on the sway bar, but I didn't run one with my stock A-arms.
