67 LWB leaf spring rear project

Well I guess ill start one of these to keep up with the progress

1967 LWB rear leaf suspension, frame is nice and straight. the rest of her is in sad shape but nothing that cant be fixed.
Plans are as follows

4.8 with small turbo (always wanted a turbo truck)
4l60e or 4L80e Don't plan on beating up on the truck on a daily basis. Will be a cruiser but have balls to get it when need be.

Take it down to the frame and set the cab and bed aside for later.
Convert from long to short
Should be able to this Sunday

Convert from drum to disk maybe do the rear also
Will either sandblast the frame or just go over with my grinder and wire wheel
Getting upper A-Arms built by a local builder
2" drop spindle and a 2" drop coil
Rear flip kit but may put a lift shackle because i want a rake to the truck. Have to do more research on it.

Gas tank
Mustang?
Suburban?
fuel cell?
I know I don't want it in the bed.

I was planning on doing the tubular arms like stated but man thats $350 that I could use somewhere else.
I just like the looks of them.

Found this complete crossmember for $160
Guy sandblasted it and left alone
Took everything apart and got it ready for the blaster this weekend.

Yeah shes rough around the edges but for what i paid and a clear title it is a good starting point
Going to get the chassis ready for blasting this weekend. Luckily a buddy of mine has a cousin that does it for a living and is giving me a good deal to blast and primer everything for me.

I have seen tanks that are "efi and non-efi"
Is there really a difference?
I know i can use an inline pump to feed the Ls style motors correct?

Little progress over the weekend
Looked over the truck and found that i could not use anything other than the frame grill and cowl. Just too much rust too fix.
So just got it ready to cut the frame next saturday.
Also ordered all new suspension up front and the 1990 Jeep Wrangler fuel tank.
Going to pick a 5 lug rear end out of a 1979 on tuesday.

What sway bar should I use?
Will the 73 and up bolt up or do I have to use the one for our year trucks?

How about the rear? Did any 67 through 87 truck come with a sway bar or are they all aftermarket?
