50 chevy 5 window resto
Hi, thought I would introduce myself. Came across this forum as I am looking for advice on restoring my truck.
Its a project I am doing with my 19 year old son and is now in its 2nd year. The truck is being modified and so far the following has been completed; - chassis boxed - jag front end fitted - 4 link rear - airbags fitted - engine, box and diff installed from a v6 holden (we live in melbourne and engine size is restricted for my son having just passed his test) - cab being converted to rhd. Now at the stage where body is going in hi fill, rear bed panels rubbed down and hopefully getting painted this weekend. I will post up pics of the resto but really need help in understanding how the bed bolts up. I will look through other posts but can anyone point me at suitable threads on here that could help us as the truck didnt come with the bed when we bought it. Do I need the wood to fix it together? |

Re: 50 chevy 5 window resto
thought I would post up a few pics of the truck when we bought it plus some of the body work that had to be repaired. will post up more of the repair works as I find the pics.
Took the bed panels to the spray booth yesterday and got them done. should be baked by now so will be collecting them later. had one photo of the painted panels so thought I would include that We ended up buying all bed panels. now need the wood to be able to fit it I believe. still looking for some advice on this. Chassis pics to follow along with the cab repairs Last edited by stcos85; 05-03-2014 at 07:41 PM. Reason: copied wrong pics |

Nice work. That fire wall work is impressive.
