Boyd's fuel tank w/Extreme Dropmember...Kudo's to Boyd welding!

Pics of Boyd's tank installed in extreme dropmember....thought u guys running or thinking about Porterbuilts stuff or others with raised floor may want to see ....this is not a special tank...just mounted on top of frame rails...since floors are raised I was able to talk to Boyd and we figured out his "stock" fuelie tank would work...I wanted all of the ground clearance i could get but considering his stock tank only hangs down 1 1/2" below frame at front there was no need to pay extra to build a "custom" tank...Thanx to Boyd's welding again...very nice product....Jim

I have one mounted up with my Extreme Dropmember too, fit very well and the tank is really nice quality. I had to move my rear crossmember back a few inches and drill a couple of holes but no big deal. Mounted mine on top of the frame rails too.

Since mine has side fill I mounted it more rearward...eliminating rear member..however with the one behind rearend..and heavy duty bed rails....and rear crossills and bumper shouldn't be a problem....jim

Sorry just saw this now, the filler neck is just Boyd's standard top fill and the blue ring is their company sticker.

Re: Boyd's fuel tank w/Extreme Dropmember...Kudo's to Boyd welding!

This is good to know. I didn't use Boyds tank because a good friend is a fabricator, but I did borrow a few of his dimensions. I always here nothing but good things about Boyd.

Also I must say jtp and bennett you guys are the reason I am finally getting my truck done, your attention to detail is motivating!
