Post your Exhaust exit pics!

I am getting my exhaust done on thursday, dual 2.5", over axle and out the back, just not sure exactly where to have it dump out. I think a 45º right at the bumper would be cool, but I've seen off to the side like that too. Either way want to keep it tight and close to out of sight. Anyone have any pics of what they have? Looking for inspiration!

4" stainless tips in front of the rear tires. Kinda old school hot rod truck in my opinion.

Here is mine. I wanted something just a little differant. I also didn't want people mad at me when I cranked it up at shows. I was going to run them straight down but everyone said it would blow dust everywhere so I ended up with this.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Yes! That's kinda what I'm going for, except larger pipes and a little more behind the bumper.

Hey, I recognize that truck!
I was thoroughly pleased with the job the exhaust shop did for me. I made it real clear to him that I didn't want to see anything except my headers, and collectors from the side. I really don't like the look of pipes hanging anywhere in open view. He did a great job of tucking everything up and out of sight.

I had planned originally to do a baloney cut, but I decided against it. The 2 1/2" tube cut off square looks like it means business. It will probably cost you less to exit out the sides, but I wouldn't recommend it. I drove around like that for twelve years. It's nice to not have all of that noise echoing back at me. They charged me $250, mufflers included.

Wink Re: Post your Exhaust exit pics!

This was what I was talking about. I didn't do it for the reasons stated though. It blows stuff all over the place when you crank it up and at shows the guy next to you want appreciate you blowing dirt and what ever else is on the ground all over his vehicle. I never had thought about it until it was pointed out to me.

Re: Post your Exhaust exit pics!

In the picture you really can't tell but the exits face to the side and down. Not just down. But in dusty area it does blow a little dust but not bad at low rpms. I also wanted a good rubble sound and the guys at the car shows worried about a little dust can park away from me.

Re: Post your Exhaust exit pics!

Hot Rods are kinda Rude things anyway and aren't they supposed to be? And Dust at Car Shows? this is Arizona, the Southwest US Dust Bowl. I'm always friendly at shows, but seem to wind up next to the guy that parks across 3 spaces because he doesn't want anyone near his Kit Cobra he likes telling everyone is real.

Car Shows , ya gotta love em, eh?

Re: Post your Exhaust exit pics!

Thanks Quick60, actually this is my 15 year old sons truck we have been working on for the past year. He wanted the exits in front of the axle, if it were my driver I would have moved them behind the axles. A little less drone at 950-1000 rpm I am thinking.
Oh and nice trucks guys!!!

Re: Post your Exhaust exit pics!

Well these are jeggs copycat Flowmaster 40s. I paid $19 each with free shipping. I figured what the heck if I didn't like them I wasn't out too much. The truck is my sons. The drone is pretty obnoxious at about 950 RPM other than that it sounds really really good. Of course there's no carpet or anything in the cab so before I change the mufflers I'm going to hushmat and carpet and then see how bad it is. It's got a stock 5.3 LC9 w6L80.

This is what I ended up going with, and it looks killer. Can you see the tips under the bumper? That's all you can see of the exhaust from the side.
