New to the site

Hey everyone. Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself (and my truck).

I'm a SoCal native transplanted to the Boulder, Colorado area. I actually work in the car care products industry. A few months back stepped down as COO at a company here in CO to see what else was out there for me and was immediately snatched up by a competitor as their "Director of Product Innovation" - in fancy talk I head up the development and technical side of the products. Everything from actual concept and development of the chemicals all the way thru the technical expertise on surface care - from cut and buff to minor defect removal, cleaning, maintenance, etc. If you guys have any questions as it pertains to detailing or surface care feel free to ask.

So onto the truck. Recently picked it up from a private seller and I've been in the market for a 67-72 truck for a long time... pretty much since high school. My busy schedule (2 kids, wife, home, job) didn't allow me to grab a full ground up project so I was on the hunt for something that was mostly complete, but I could continue to tweak and make my own.

As it sits now the truck looks and drives great, although I'm going to be changing some things soon.

67 C10 sporting what appears to be the original small block, but with a rebuilt top end. Engines tired and either going to be rebuilt or replaced - haven't decided yet. Runs well all things considered.

Body/frame are about 3 years removed from restoration. Paint is a solid 9 out of 10 as far as quality (Sunbrust Orange Metallic)... I intend to make it an 11 by the time I finish sanding and buffing it. I like some of the little touches the previous guy did, others not so much... can't stand the tail lights and uber plain rear end so looking at a few scenarios to incorporate stock tails and bumper back in while keeping some of the smoothed/shaved look.

Currently riding on air, 2 comps and tanks... not setup to lay out currently... might look into notching the frame and raising the bedfloor, etc to get it to lay out eventually... not in the cards for now.

Interior is damn near new. Aside from a non-functioning tuner knob on the radio its pretty much perfect. Dash pad could use a refresh, thats about it.

Enough rambling. Happy to be here... looking to learn some stuff and help out anywhere I can.

Thanks for having me!

Fully aired up -
