What is this wire for?
Hi ,
Does anyone know what the white wire that is cut in the picture below is for? I'm working on electricity for the first time on my 68, and the previous owner did a total hack job on some of the wiring. Thanks! Brian |

If you're talking about the wire comming from the steering column area I believe its for the 4 way flashers. I think ( from what I see in the photo) it connects to what looks like a white wire with a crimp connector on the end is where it slipped off from. see if 4 ways work or not, that might tell. theres also a white wire for the stop switch, but its hard to tell where it leads to in the photo...

Thanks Joe I'll take a look at that.
You are right, the wire did slip off, and was originally crimped together. It does lead to an area right under the steering column. Will give an update. |
