is a 67 k10 worth any more than a later one

I am going to try and pickup two trucks this weekend one is a 72 c10 parts truck and the other is a running 1967 factory k10 long bed that the guy uses as a daily and a plow truck for his driveway during the winter. if it isn't rotted to death would being a 67 verses a more common 69-72 make it worth more and what do you think it may be worth. it has some usual rust but for nj standards its all fixable

I remember that truck. I wanted that in the worst way, just couldn't pull it off.

Re: is a 67 k10 worth any more than a later one

One year only body and bed parts due to the markers (reflecters) added for the 68 MY. Only year of the small back window though many 67s had the optional big window. Four wheel drives have closed knuckle, drum brake front ends up through 69 along with an indirectdrive transfer case, a T-211, replaced by the NP205 in 69 as a running change. Since earlier trucks tend to have lower option content, and gears it takes a dedicated owner to keep an early 4x4 stock. Plowing is never good for a truck but usage and the driver can make a big difference in whats left of the truck.
A lot is going to depend on what you expect it to do for you.

Condition dictates value.

I'd say no. They were more rare and people seem to love the '67s a whole lot. But,when you figure all the upgrades and better availability of drivetrain parts of 70-72s I'd say that balances out the value.

Re: is a 67 k10 worth any more than a later one

I like the 67's but I prefer the 68s because of the larger rear window. However, I also loved my 69 (now in pieces) and as ledzepp mentioned, condition rather than year in this model trucks (67-72), is more of an indication of value.
