Mirror arm questions

Hey guys,

I'm working on a design for the mirror arms for my mirror heads and have a couple questions.

First, I have a set of factory arms and a set of aftermarket arms. The factory left and right arms are a different length. The aftermarket arms are the same length. I just want to make sure that the different length arms from the factory are correct. I can't imagine they wouldn't be, but better safe than sorry!

Secondly, can somebody give me specific measurements as to where they mount to the door? Vertically, do they mount right on the body line, or slightly below? Horizontally, I would need a measurement from the door gap.
