Rear frame crossmember help
Hey guys I need a little help. Does anybody know if the rear crossmembers on our trucks differ from year to year or model to model? The reason I ask is the po installed a pretty useless tow hitch, and removed the crossmembers. So I am not really sure what I am missing. I have a 71 swb 4x4.
Any help would appreciated, Thanks Rich |

Re: Rear frame crossmember help
I would like to help with pictures but I have coils not leafs so that wont help any. What I would do is going through the build section and look at a bunch of different pictures. Those might be able to answer your question.

Re: Rear frame crossmember help
M 70 k10 has a bent rear crossmember so I did some snooping. All the trucks I have checked under seem to have the same one. Pretty basic design, riveted to the rails by the rear hangers. ECE has a replacement one on their site...the only one I've seen. There should be corresponding holes to fit it in place....Rick
