Axle swap question
I have asked this question on the 73-87 and 88-98 boards also, just trying to cover all the bases in my search for a rear end. I found a guy with a ARB locker with 3.73's out of a 79' truck. There is also a 3.73 locker rear end from a 98' Suburban for sale.
Will 5 lug axles from a 2WD swap with a 4WD 6 lug diff without modifications on a 73-87? How about with 88-98. Would a 5 lug axle from a 71-72 fit in either of the later year rear ends? Thanks.
