DBW pedal mounting bracket

DBW mounting bracket for Corvette Pedal

$60 Shipped via USPS (updated 10/4/2022)

Paypal: robhartley@aol.com, enter "CPB" in message block.

I did an LS3 (Gen IV motor) installation in my 1968 C10 a while back. When I got to the point of mounting the DBW pedal, I fabbed up this pedal bracket that bolts to the firewall where the factory pedal used to mount. The bracket is made out of 1/4" steel and has the holes punched in them for ease of installation.

It is set up to use a 2005+ Corvette DBW pedal (GM Part # 25835421) that can be purchased on Ebay for around $50-75. The color code of the Corvette pedal is the same as the Gen IV truck DBW pedal, you just have to swap 2 wires (I'll look those up and post). The nice part about the Corvette pedal, is that the pad is exactly identical to the gas pedal pad in the 71-72 trucks. This allows you can to use the factory stainless trim on it giving you a clean factory look. The pedal bracket is $50 shipped. If you have any questions let me know.

Rob

I added the part number to the my first post.

Paypal is robhartley@aol.com. I pick up a new batch early next week, so it will be toward the end of next week before I ship it out. Thanks,

Re: DBW pedal mounting bracket

So you only have to switch 2 wires to run this on a 04 5.3 motor?

If you want to use the Corvette pedal. Post a picture of your DBW plug.

Re: DBW pedal mounting bracket

I don't have my pedal yet. I have an 04 5.3. Just trying to plan this out and the pedal you have is the best pedal I have seen so far.

I'm pretty sure the Corvette pedal will work, but I haven't tried it. Maybe do a little research on LS1Tech and see what you can find. I'll look also.

As is, if you mount the truck pedal to the bracket, I think it will push the pedal to far towards the driver. I'm going to do some more prototyping with the truck pedal to see what I can come up with.

Thanks for the pics. I'm going to have to find a local truck and do some measuring.

Re: DBW pedal mounting bracket

Hart rod,
Do you happen to have a link to the info for repinning the DBW plug so I can use the vette pedal?

I am about ready to dive into this part of the project. I have looked on here and Ls1tech and was not able to find anything.

I think they will but I just got back from a week long mission trip to Haiti, so I haven't had time to dig more into it. Hopefully this week or next.

I will try to get some pictures taken today or tomorrow to show the difference. Bump this to the top if I haven't by tomorrow evening.
