53 chevy truck vin question
I have a Mississippi certificate of title (bonded title 2008)
Truck is titled as a 1953 Chevy truck. My question now turns to the vin number. As on the title and on a stamped plate from the door frame the number is 3KPA-xxxx on the plate and VBB3KPAXXX. My research shows this number to be a Kansas City 1952 truck. Should I have any concern with this situation or just get the truck registered here in Texas? |

Re: 53 chevy truck vin question
If the title and door tag match dont worry about it.
And dont bring up any issues you might have with the title department. Always a bad idea. Feel lucky that they match. Some states titled vehicles back then by the engine number. I had a 49 Chevy panel from Florida. Titled by the engine serial number. Lucky for me the original engine was in it. And it matched the title. Just be glad they match.
