Lower door skin patch panels
After having my doors blasted and finding a bunch of pin holes, I've finally accepted that they need to be fixed. I stopped on the way home today and my local shop to get some patch panels. When I got home and looked at the door and the patch panels I saw that the re pop patch was in no way close to the oe stamping. I see no way with this patch panel to properly repair the door. My question is, is there better stampings out there you guys have used.

Hard to see in the pictures but the lines in the re pop are just rolled with no definition

Re: Lower door skin patch panels
In these two pics it's shows the same portion of the door the oe and repro skin. There is no lines in the repop, it's almost a straight line. This is very frustrating and I don't know how a company could produce this and sell it.

Re: Lower door skin patch panels
i guess because we keep buying it... I dont know if there are better ones but my lower fender patch was just as bad and nobody makes a better one. I'd be willing to pay double for stuff that actually works.

Check with classic heartbeat and gmc Pauls. Find out what they carry. Then cross reference with other threads of people using those panel.

Unfortunately, I do believe that's the only choice we have for that part, Every one I have seen is awful. no matter who you get them from.

Re: Lower door skin patch panels
my idea of them panels is too use as little of it as possible but even then you still run into fit problems.
it would be nice if they could add the drain holes and the corner triangles.
