While I was away I made these.

I decided that my interior needed to be freshened up and some more custom touches to help it stand out. I got some silverado trim at the wrecking yard that was In great shape but a few days of that and I thought I was looking at a restaurant kitchen sink. I have a buddy that owns his own upholstry shop got in some really cool texture vinyls. As soon as I saw them I new immediately what I wanted to do with them.

Away in the abyss of CL I sold the stainless trim and cut these out. Some people love the hell out of it and some think it's too old school. But I love it.

I put up a post gauging interest, I've sold a couple on Instagram and my local Facebook truck group.

I don't want this to turn into a for sale thread so just keep an eye out on the forum classifieds

It's actually vinyl that I cut out by hand on some templates I made and I glue in using 3M77 or 3M99 spray adhesive, the latter I like better because it's stronger and has a size adjustable spray pattern and has held my headliner up for years, mineral spirits cleans off any overspray without damaging anything or goof off works to. Dash bezel is really all that has to come off since the placement of that was trickier but if your good at spraying just a quick coat on the doors and the back of the vinyl it sticks right on when it's all tacked up. Took me about five min to do My interior.

Re: While I was away I made these.

If you had a Dodge it would be cool to do the roof up in the same pattern. Dodge did it back in the 60's. Either way it looks great.

I am thinking about a carbon fiber look wrap for mine or maybe a hammer tone.

Yah my Freind has all sorts of texture vinyl at his shop that I was thinking of playing around with. With so many squares out there we all put personal unique touches on our trucks and I love how much uniqueness and creativity this provides.

Once I did it was sitting there going "why didn't I think of this sooner" kind if moments.

Cool pattern. It is reminiscent of the late 70's Silverado door panel trim.

I always wanted a 68 with all the fancy paisley trim. I've kinda built my truck as if it was made in 69 haha.

Re: While I was away I made these.

I know what you mean. My truck is a K20 now so I am building it for a rough and ready type life. I will add in a bit of rock crawler flair eventually, but subtle as not to look dumb driving around town. Mostly to protect the rear quarter behind the wheel well, and the front too.

The interior will be oem+ with a heavily rhino lined floor pan, and rubber mats to make clean out easy.

Very nice. I wonder if it could be done with a thin metal? Perhaps something only a tiny bit thicker than the factory metal was.

I like it, But then I am "old school". That would look cool on my 72 door panels. Still want that front x-member?

That apears to be the popular camaro tach swap.

Those look good on the dark door panels. Somehow I was thinking I would see some license plates when I opened this thread just based on the title.
