NOS GMC grill value
I have a relative that supposedly has a NOS GMC grill sitting in there garage and her kids have been rummaging around scrapping everything they can get there hands on. I'm thinking about trying to make an offer on the grill and then put it up for sale on the board just to keep it from getting scrapped. it's suppose to be still in the original packing even. anyhow what's the average retail for something like this also considering if I was to sell it on here it would most likely have to be crated and truck freighted out of here. that's assuming she'll actually even sell it I know it's been in there since these trucks were new but she's getting really old and who knows how long before the kids take over. not really trying to get rich out of the deal just hoping to get it to a good home before it's to late.

Re: NOS GMC grill value
Value depends on the condition. For a decent one with minor storage dings maybe $500. A perfect one could maybe creep up to $800??? Guesses on my part.

Re: NOS GMC grill value
If you wanted to make a quick buck Id offer her 100 for it and sell it here for 300 or so plus shipping. Everyone is happy and gets a great deal

Re: NOS GMC grill value
I paid 300 for a GM NOS black one. I think it'll have some shelf wear or cardboard wear but it should be like 5-600 my guess.

Re: NOS GMC grill value
I don't know the year, hopefully make it out there over the holiday weekend. I know it's in the 67-72 era. it's been sitting there since I was a kid at one point there was mention I should use it on my truck but I prefer the 69/70 chevy grill

Re: NOS GMC grill value
She had me bring it home with me to sell on her behalf it is new but it's definitely seen better days. I currently have 3 people in line for it but not sure if any of them are actually going to want it with the way it looks now. any suggestions on cleaning it up without scratching the heck out of it?
rest of the pic's are here http://s1054.photobucket.com/user/wr...s%20for%20sale

Re: NOS GMC grill value
That looks like dirt and dust more than anything, I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you start washing it.

Re: NOS GMC grill value
I saw on american restoration a piece of tin foil works wonders on chrome. Id start with a good hand washing first and go from there

Re: NOS GMC grill value
I cleaned up one side of it some looks like it will clean up enough for a nice driver but it's show days are over. To much bird poo sitting on it for to long it is definitely a shame. I would rechrome it and repaint the black myself just don't know how much that costs versus a repop.
