71 swb length
Before I bring her home what is the bumper to number length of a stock 71 GMC SWB. Have to make sure I clear enough garage room. The wife is thinking hers is staying in the garage

My lwb is 17'8". A swb should be 20 inches shorter. So you are looking at approximately 16'0", maybe a couple inches shorter with sport bumper(mine has a step bumper).

188 1/2 inches overall length, according to GM Heritage. A lot of good info there with some options etc.

While I've brought home all sorts of project vehicles, and at one point stuffed five (5!) cars into my three-car garage, I have always made sure my wife gets her spot inside. She says she wouldn't mind parking outside for a bit, but I will never move her outside. She doesn't mind me goofing off in the garage because she knows she is more important to me than any car or truck.
Let your wife park in the garage! Good thing my wife drives a short-wheelbase Jeep Wrangler- Doesn't take up much room! |

She gets to stay in the garage its been a joke that we are going back and forth with right now. My daily has been out for 3years. She finally agreed to let me move all the boxes that have been stuck in the garage since we moved to the house to make room
