My ceramic headers were just delivered. The paperwork from the coating company says not to break in a motor with the new headers on. WTF....Can I run her for 15 mins without any headers or manifolds? I think it might get to hot for that. Any sugestions?

You don't want to break it in with the coated headers, use some regular headers to break in the motor.

You know, Dave could almost be called a post wh@re. I recently looked at his post count vs. when he joined. He is cranking the post out. I guess I need to play catch up. I joined not long after Mike and Chris, and have one of the lowest counts around....

What do you mean almost? He is a post whore. We've already established that, a long time ago. He'll probably agree with me.

I figured you have turf toe or an ingrown toe nail. Since it types a faster than your hands, I guess you stopped by and tried using 10 fingers instead of the Killer TOE!

Dave's been busy at work, and now that he's got a cool TA it's easier for him to cruise for high school girls, hence his absence in the evenings.

LMAO!! And you're wanting to get 3.73 gears as well? Sounds like you need someone to tune that engine.

Ahhhh, good news-
New ROLLER motor does not need a 15 min break in. Crossy had some stock manifolds for me though.

Nope, rollers don't need a break-in period, BUT the problem with running the ceramics headers on a new motor is the running rich/lean, running hot/overheating. It will discolor the headers.

Should I let her idle for five minutes and shut her down to cure these headers? How can I do this without hurting my new headers?
