Hello from Shelbyville Kentucky

Was surfing around the other day and found this site. I have a 1959 Chevy Apache. It's currently in Iowa right now. I don't have a title for it but was told by the vehicle division the I could get a "builders title" for it I just have to give the vin so they can check if its in anyone else's name. My dads friend in Indiana bought a house with an old barn on it and the truck was in it. The guy is a Ford guy and gave it to my dad. Dad has too many projects and gave it to me, along with another six cylinder and powerglide and also a 1955 or 56 Olds rocket and auto trans. Truck has rust in usual locations plus some on hood and cowl where water leaked through holes of building. I will post pics in the future. Looking forward to discussion. Thanks. Brian

Welcome! C'mon in and look around. You're among friends.

Sounds like you're off to a good start, but....

Batwood every original sheet metal body part on your truck was stamped in Indianapolis IN. Except the hood and two front fenders. My Dad started working at that plant in 1959 and I worked there from primarily 1972 to 2004.

I like that truck!

Thanks for liking my truck. Now I have to find time and space to start tinkering.
