Colum indicator help, Tilt vs. Non-tilt indicator

The PO had glued down the gear indicator fiber optic housing and I am tring to find a replacement. My column does not tilt but the housing was for a tilt column, Part # 7 in the link. I prefer the look of #7(tilt) over #8(non-tilt).

My question is will both indicators work on a non-tilt column? Are the mounting tabs and screw hole locations the same? I sure one of you parts yard scouring experts can tell me. Thank you.

Both 7 and 8 are for non-tilt columns. #7 is for 67-70. #8 is for 71-72. So, what year is your truck and is the column original? I'm not sure if they'll interchange, but I doubt it.

Thanks for clearing that up. My truck's a 68 so #7 it is.
