gasket wrinklel

I got my front windshield put in today, I have a few wrinkles in each of the upper corners, other than that it looks good, original trim installed and still in good shape,

and before anybody says anything yes i used a Precision gasket from GMC Pauls, and a original OEM front windshield I cut out of an rotted truck in a field

Re: gasket wrinklel

I have never seen an after market installation that the gasket did not wrinkle a little. It's all good.

That's what I was wondering.. If it were a finished truck, I would have it redone.
good luck

Re: gasket wrinklel

Im curious as to why you didnt go ahead and weld in patch pieces for the area above the windshield before the ws install. Will you have to pull the ws to weld the pieces in?

money and time, the whole cab needs to come off for the sheet metal work, I have a whole new floor to install and rockers and cab corners plus the spots above the windshield.

sometimes i realize that i am doing somethings backwards, but when you drive your truck most of the days of the week, I do what i can when i can do it,

Plus the old W/S was cracked and leaking bad at the bottom R corner
