My of Task Force V-8 emblem’s

In the last year and half I've been collecting all the Task Force V-8 hood emblem’s. Now that I’ve collected them all, I made a case for them to hang on my garage wall. The case is at the powder coaters and I'm getting a glass cut for it. Question to you guys should I paint them or leave them original?

x2, leave them original for a year, if you still want to paint them go ahead. Is there a difference between the 56 and 57 piece? Great idea BTW.

The difference between the 56 and 57 is the color. On the 56 the back ground is black and the bowtie is red. On the 1957 the back ground red and the bowtie is black

Correct me if I’m wrong guys but in 55 they didn’t have a V in the emblem only a v-8 emblem on the front fenders. The plan right now is to powder the cabinet flat black with a row of LED light around the inside of the door.
I should get the glass and the cabinet back today for finely assembly.

That is what i thought, and why i asked, I was not sure if they had a V8 emblem in 55! Its just a Thought but what about the V's on either side of the 55 emblem on your display? again just a Thought!
Thanks

To be honest I never thought of it. I might look for some and place them in there to see if it looks any good.

Nice. I've never thought of that for a display.

Interesting. My truck, a '57 model, emblem has a red bowtie. I have no reason to suspect it was replaced. I remember spending bunches of time when I restored it looking for the right color as there was another very original looking '57 in town with the colors reversed. I had some fairly good resources to check with and the conclusion I came to was trucks shipped with either color.

Regardless, it's cool to be able to display both combinations.

I like paint n polish for the display.

Re: My of Task Force V-8 emblem’s

What is the difference between the 55 1st and 55 2nd emblems? I have thought about getting one for my 2nd series truck, but cannot see the difference, especially the ones listed on ebay. Most of the pictures they show look about the same. Your emblem collection is a great idea, and looks good as is.

Oh I mean, I meant it in a good way for the Vegas guys . I’m not sure because I can see every LED light reflecting in all the emblems.
