72C10 wheel lug pattern
My 72 has 6 lugs in the rear and 5 in the front is this normal can someone give me the skinny on this?

You probably have an older axle from a '70 or older half ton. You could change the axle to a '71 or newer or you may be able to use axle shafts and brake drums from an older truck. Be sure to compare the parts to ensure fit b4 you buy them as there are some variations.

I believe that to be correct mine is a 5 0n 5 bolt pattern.

yep. It sounds like the previous owner swapped out the five lug rearfor a much easier to find 67 to 70 rearend. Do you have leaf or coil springs?
