250 power steering question
I found a 76 Nova today with a complete 250 in it with power steering. But it has emissions. Will the power steering setup work on the 67 to 72 Chevy trucks with a 250?

Re: 250 power steering question
It depends on if it is a 1-piece head or seperate manifold. The brackets can cross over be made to work with some fabricating, but it is easier if you find a setup that matches your head configuration.

Re: 250 power steering question
I think '75 is when the head changed, so I'm doubtful it will work if its the original set-up to that car.

Re: 250 power steering question
I think this is true ....But...on the newer Nova I got my setup off of was non integrated. And get EVERYYHING associated with the setup regardless if you think you need it or not...pulleys, brackets, even pieces of the hardware are special (top mount bolt for large PS bracket)

Re: 250 power steering question
The seventy six will have an integrated head. The brackets are different but can be modded. A search should turn up how it needs to be modded. Get everything off the Nova if you decide to do it this way.Pulleys, pump, brackets, and hardware.I would get pulleys from water pump, alt,PS pump, crank(some bolt onto the Harmonic balancer). I've seen one done like this and it looked OK though you could tell it was modded to fit, function was good.
