Superlift springs for 69-72 trucks
Hey not sure if everyone knows, but I have found out through Superlift that they no longer manufacture lift springs for 1969-72 chevy/gmc trucks. Pretty bummed out as I wanted to get a set of the heavy duty lift springs for my 1970 truck.

That's a real shame. I have the 6" superlift springs on my truck and like them a lot. Nice ride and good quality springs.

Re: Superlift springs for 69-72 trucks
They were the lift springs of choice for me ever since Burbank Spring went out. Too bad they are turning their backs on our 69-72s. Tuff Country is my brand of choice now and they offer the HD option for the front. I've been using the EZ-Rides and see no reason for HDs,though. I've hauled plenty in my trucks, including 20-30' long loads on the ladder rack that put a lot of load on the front and they performed just fine.

Re: Superlift springs for 69-72 trucks
Drewbee,
I've got a set of 6" lift springs from SuperLift that I took out of my K20 several years ago. I'll probably never use them again. If you are interested, send me a PM. |

Re: Superlift springs for 69-72 trucks
I can tell you that my 4" BDS springs ride like a truck LOL! I was hoping then would be a little more plush, but of course i haven tried driving without the shocks installed to see if they could be the culprit..

Re: Superlift springs for 69-72 trucks
I used their (Heckathorn's) hydraulic shocks, which is why they rode better. Gas shocks are for Baja racing where heated oil from constant long cycling causes aeration. They are ultra high pressure also,to prevent bottoming upon landing after being airborne. Stiff shocks make stiff springs stiffer. The spring needs to move first without resistance and the shock is to come along and limit rebound,no limit compression.
