Steering wheel/console questions
I was looking at a crack ing my wheel and it looks to be cast in color. That is to say it doesn't look painted. I read posts where guys/gals paint to match interior etc and was wondering if all wheels and consoles are painted factory or cast in color? Thanks
Nim

Re: Steering wheel/console questions
For the 69-72 trucks, at least the black wheels were cast in color. Not sure of other colors. I THINK they were also cast in though. I don't recall ever seen an original for those years with an underlying color exposed from wear. I have, however, see 67/68 wheels that do show underlying color (black).
Consoles were painted. |

Thanks for replying. I guess the only real way to find out is to cut it open some (since I'll be repairing it anyways) Thanks again Nim
