remove bump stops?

i lowered my 1970 c10 3/5 they were ebay springs supposed to be 2/4 but the were wrong . my front end is touching bump stops as it sits can i remove them and run w/out them to gain clearance? if so should i remove just rubber or rubber and tower. thanks for any help!

You can cut the rubber down or buy the stubby bump stops.

Or remove it completely. Just remember it is also your steering stop.

Id make the part that touches on the bumpstop thinner so when you hit the bumpstop its more progressive than the regular bumpstops and way beter than metal on metal.

ok i cut them off and took it for a run on some rough road...wow! thanks for the input, its so close to stock ride now,i know i have no steering stop but i can deal with that. i was bottoming out so hard before it was dropping my shifter into low. now this thing cruises!!!!
