First off we need to know what is going on with the heater fan (blower motor). Why do you need to take it out?

Re: Heater Fan

Thank you for your reply.
The fan, well she's dead.
I tried to jump it with positive and negative and got nothing.
I have since determined I will need to remove the passenger side hood hinge.
I am hoping to secure the hood so I need only take off the one side. I believe but I am not sure that when the hood is opened, the hinge spring is at it's most relaxed state. I realize tension remains but it would appear to be fully extended .

Re: Heater Fan

You can drill with small drillbits on the hood hinges into the fenders to make sure your hood goes back on the way it came off without alignment issues

Re: Heater Fan

The hinge spring is relaxed when the hood is open, just make real sure you have the hood supported at the front and on the side you take off so you don't bend the other hinge.

You do not need to completely remove it, just remove the bolts that screw into the inner fender. It won't go anywhere. and prop the hood front center and pass rear as mentioned above....

Re: Heater Fan

Thank you, thank you. I was a bit concerned about that.
