shot in the dark
ok the the guy I got my 69 GMC from removed a few leafs out of the leaf springs to lower the truck......I have got my pinion angle close....what I am wondering is do you guys think that becase there are leafs missing that it is allowing the rear end to over flex on accelertation and that could be the reason that I am still eating rear ujoints????just a shot in the dark.....any advice would be wonderful......thanks..........

It could!
One piece or two piece driveshaft? What's your pinion angle? What's the angle on your tranny output? Are you checking your pinion angle with the suspension loaded? |

2 piece drive shaft.....one more degree and I should be perfect...i drive it up on patio blocks so I can check it loaded......Im almost to the point of trying to find out what rear end leafs and all will bolt underneith the truck....u joints last about two weeks.....this is driving me nuts

Try some spring clamps. Clamp the leafs togethor in the front. Make them yourself out of 1/4 inch flat plate.

have you had the drive line checked for balanced? how is the carrier bearing? Is the truck a short bed conversion? maybe the drive line was not done right? just some ideas...
